I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to write this! My boyfriend and I stayed in Copperstone cottage over memorial day weekend, and we had an amazing time. The cabin is extremely cozy and well-furnished. I especially liked the full kitchen. The view from the deck is breathtaking! When we stayed there were a million fireflies that lit up the trees and river. We sat out there for several hours each night just enjoying the view. I liked the privacy of the property, but yet it was close enough to town so that we could run in and get ice and supplies that we realized we forgot. There is also a winery very close to the property with live music. I could go on and on about this place. I highly recommend it! I can’t wait to come back!

My hubby and I spent post memorial weekend there at the cabin this year and we LOVED IT! I could not get enough of the relaxing jaccuzi tub,so peaceful and serene. Crystal and hubby were the perfect hosts! So enjoyed the Peaceful Bend winery (I loved the wine but it got me the next day ) :) , will definitely be going back our little pup went on her first canoe trip as well. I only wish the bed was a king size but with the size of the cabin not possible . May have to come down for a winter get away. LUV IT!

Copperstone Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. From the beautiful design and furnishings, to the remote location and scenic view – it’s just terrific. We really enjoyed the light show that the fireflies provided in the “back yard” and the time we spent on the river. We are planning our next visit now!

We went in the fall for a quick weekend getaway and could not have been more pleased. The view in the fall is absolutely stunning. The cabin is very cozy and clean. We did have an issue with the fireplace and Crystal was there within minutes to fix, it turned out to be user error. We enjoyed it so much we returned in January and stayed in Sasafras with friends staying in Copperstone, everyone was pleased. We will definitely return.

In our search for a quick week-end get-away spot in November of 2012, we came upon the Murphy’s Cabins website and booked Copperstone Cottage for two nights. We were absolutely thrilled with what we discovered there! The size, layout, and decor of the cabin were perfect, and the location superb! Thanks to reviews we had read, we were expecting a lovely view from the balcony, but reality surpassed the descriptions. We were pleasantly surprised to look down into a picturesque valley surrounded by lovely fall colors, with cattle grazing down below and a river peacefully meandering through the valley. Out front were the woods, where we had many a memorable walk, and the river itself drew us as well. While we had not chosen to rent a canoe, we still enjoyed the beauty of the waterway just in contemplating the scenery. Inside the cabin, all amenities were exactly suited to our purposes, and all was clean and functioning. The furniture was very comfortable, which was a relief, as our experience has shown us that the beds in rental places are not always the best. The two days and nights passed all too quickly, and we wished for another night. The solution….make it a tradition to return to Copperstone Cottage every fall! Consequently, we made another little trip out to Murphy’s place in November of 2013, and hope to continue the tradition! Beautiful location, professional owners, clean surroundings, and everything we needed… our favorite little spot!

Peaceful beautiful clean and a little piece of heaven is what we found while visiting. We plan on coming back and we surprised our kids for their wedding anniversary and purchased a weekend for them, they also found it magical!

We stayed recently at the Copperstone Cottage. The entire experience more than exceeded our expectations. We loved the cabin, pavilion and scenery. It was a beautiful weekend. We can’t wait to come back and visit for the summer experience and utilize the river! The cabin had everything we needed right down to the Q-Tips! They even offered one of their 4×4 vehicles for our use for the snow. Now that is service!

Looking for a cabin atmosphere that would let you bring your dog and was blessed to find Coppertone Cottage. The décor in person lived up to the photos on line but the view from back porch was spectacular. Especially on arrival seeing a bald eagle in the top of tree overlooking the cattle grazing below in the valley with Meramec River running by. We took many wonderful walks & enjoyed the Pavilion area too. The owners are so friendly & very helpful and accommodating. We plan to be back as just so restful and relaxing want to do it all again. Will definitely recommend it to all our friends & family. Loved Crystal letting me meet her dog and seeing the tricks she trained her to do. Dog people are good people. Thank You.

What a great place to relax! We’ve stayed here twice; visits were a year apart, both times during the winter. Beautiful views, quiet and serene natural surroundings. The cabin has good amenities and a very cozy atmosphere. The roads to the cabins are clearly marked making travel to and fro easy, yet you feel a million miles away. If you are a hiking enthusiast there is ample terrain to explore through a variety of woodland but nothing is marked. It’s well worth the trek into the woods as you can hike along the Meramec and see eagles and other wildlife, not to mention panoramic vistas and a variety of rock formations. A laminated map in the “things to do” binder that is thoughtfully provided would be very helpful so we’d have an indication of where we might end up. :)

Thanks for the review, Michelle. I will get some maps in the cabins ASAP. What a great idea! :)

We loved the comfort and beauty of Copperstone Cottage! We hiked with our doggies and they would give it a thumbs up too! It was our second visit, and we will be back again in the future! Thanks Crystal for all that you helped us with.

We stayed at the Copperstone Cottage in Oct. 2014 to celebrate our 38th Anniversary and to visit my Beloved Mother’s grave in Cuba. Copperstone way beyond what we expected. Everything inside was just as I would want in a cabin. The scenery off the back deck breathtaking. Crystal and her husband came down to get the fireplace started and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. He said I would be see an eagle or two. They gave a couple places to go for our Anniversary dinner and told us about Peaceful Winery just around the bend. I cooked breakfast and we enjoyed it sitting on the deck listening to sounds, taking in the views. We ventured down to the river with a bottle of wine we purchased at Peaceful Winery and sat along the river edge, laying on the hammock… oh so peaceful. We ended up going back to winery to get some to bring home. On the last evening of our magnificent visit…I got so excited never seeing an eagle in flight… Not one but a pair directly soaring overhead!!!! I had 3 cameras out and got some awesome pictures. This place is definitely a place we will come back too… Next time, I would like to go horseback riding and canoeing down the river. Thank you Crystal and Hubby for sharing your amazing cabin with us. What a relaxing, beautiful, and memorable 38th Anniversary we had.
